ABANIC PHYSIO Bowen Education
ABANIC PHYSIO BOWEN EDUCATION are original educational programs of manual therapy designed to provide physiotherapists with in-depth knowledge and practical skills about the Bowen technique and its application in the therapeutic process. In addition to theoretical lectures, they include practical work and case studies to ensure a thorough understanding of the method. The courses are conducted in cooperation with educational institutions in the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and are taught by the author of the method, Ana Banić.

Basic Bowen education

Advanced Bowen edukacija
Advanced education is intended for therapists who already independently and safely apply the Bowen technique and want to further develop clinical thinking, assessment and decision-making in more complex situations.
The Bowen technique is not a subject of study here — but a tool within a wider clinical context.

Structure of education
Module 1 – Clinical assessment and therapeutic decision
Focus on assessment and specific protocols for working with scars and hematomas along with neuro-orthopedic tests.
Module 2 – Integration and more complex cases
Work on more complex patterns — calcifications, diastasis, breathing patterns and postural corrections.
Module 3 – Limits and professional application
Applied physics through active therapeutic movements and biomechanics for complex clinical cases.
Education outcomes
Upon completion of the education, the participant:

Education is led by Ana Banić, Ph.D. education in healthcare and a university master's degree in physiotherapy, with many years of experience in clinical work, higher education and training of therapists.
As a BTPA accredited educator, she is the author of the Abanic Physio Bowen Concept – an educational and clinical framework that connects the Bowen technique with physiotherapy, biomechanics and active therapeutic approaches.
The programs are developed from actual clinical practice, with an emphasis on understanding the therapeutic process and making professional decisions, rather than on the mechanical implementation of protocols.

Frequently asked questions about Bowen seminars
The training courses are intended for the professional development of healthcare professionals and kinesiologists.
For education, professional knowledge in the fields of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology is required.
The most common participants of Bowen education are physiotherapists, kinesiologists, doctors, nurses, speech therapists, psychologists, osteopaths and experienced manual therapists.
20% theory and 80% practical knowledge.
The ideal number of participants is up to 14, anything above that requires additional assistants.
Bowen Basic education lasts 8 days within 4 to 6 months, divided into 4 modules.
